Business as UNusual- adapting your business to tackle climate change

Join us on the 15th June to learn about business support and development, carbon accounting and sustainable procurement!

Durham County Council declared a climate emergency in 2019 and has committed to becoming a carbon neutral county and council by 2050. To reach this target we need to come together as a county to mitigate the effects of climate change as much as we possibly can.

We want to support your decarbonisation so, we have put together a series of events to demystify the net zero agenda and outline what you can do to reach Net Zero.

The event schedule and speakers are below:

9:30 am: Introduction to business and net zero-

Prof Jon Gluyas, Durham Energy Institute

10:30 am: Business development and support throughout the net zero transition-

Reshma Begum- Development Manager – North East England , the Federation of

    Small Businesses.

11:50 am: Networking and panel discussion-

    Discussion with our speakers.

1:15 pm: Carbon Accounting: if we can’t measure it, we can’t manage it-
