    ECon-versation Consultation event
Durham County Council has launched a consultation exercise that will shape the County’s economic growth over the next 10 years.

County Durham Businesses are invited to attend a breakfast event on Tuesday 29th March as part of the ‘Big Econ-versation’. Hear a panel of business leaders provide a perspective from their own businesses and sectors about the economic challenges and opportunities in County Durham, and contribute your questions and views to the discussion, in order to help inform the development of the Inclusive Economic Strategy.

    Topics will include:

    • Durham’s position in the region

    • Levelling Up/Devolution

    • Sector strengths and opportunities (Fintech, Advanced Manufacturing etc.)

    • Green Agenda

This event forms part of the ‘Big Econ-versation’ where businesses, large and small, in all sectors and across the County are being invited to take part in a conversation which will inform the development of the strategy and give you a say on what is important to your business.

Your views, experiences, knowledge, and ambitions will help us create the kind of economy we need for our County, providing you with a voice to share your business challenges and provide your ideas which could help build opportunities for us now and for future generations of business leaders, entrepreneurs and residents.

In addition to attending the breakfast event, there are two ways you can contribute to this. An online questionnaire hosted on the Business Durham website has been created for you to complete at your convenience. The page also hosts copies of the recent Economic Review and an Economic Statement which you can download as background information.
