Businesses are urged to act fast to book space at the year’s second Wear Business Live networking event when a panel of experts will discuss County Durham’s bid to become the UK City of Culture.
Lumley Castle will host the Wear Business event 12-2pm on Thursday, May 26, when Wear Business executive editor Rob Lawson will set out the big questions about the bid’s merits for a four-strong panel.
Ambitious plans to drive growth, spark creativity and celebrate County Durham’s people and places have all been showcased as part of the bid – with a final decision due around the time of the Wear Business Live event.
The panel will comprise:
• Sally Dixon – assistant director, partnerships & communication, Beamish Museum, and lead voice on business engagement for Durham 2025
• Darush Dodds – corporate affairs director, Esh Group
• Sarah Slaven – managing director, Business Durham
• Michelle Cooper – chief executive, County Durham Community Foundation
A buffet and refreshments will be available at the event, which is free to attend but with spaces strictly limited.
