Construction has started on a new care home as part of a new community development in County Durham.
LNT Care Developments has started work on the 66-bed home at DurhamGate after securing planning permission, paving the way for the creation of 58 jobs.
Based on the main boulevard entrance to DurhamGate, the development will provide general residential as well as dementia care, and LNT Care Developments plans to open the home by the summer 2023.
