Three North East firms have been named on a programme that aims to boost the growth of companies operating in the green industries.
Companies were accepted onto the scheme based on their potential to both scale up and to help the UK reach its net zero goal. As part of the programme, the companies will given access to long-term investment opportunities, exposure and a platform with which to influence green policies.
Power Roll, which last year moved from Washington to the Jade Business Park near Seaham as part of growth plans, has created a low cost solar power film which can be made cheaply anywhere in the world. Chief commercial officer Don Scott said: “The team at Power Roll look forward to the collaboration, networking, and mentorship opportunities available through the Net Zero programme.”
