Global packaging company Amcor has revealed a $5m (£3.7m) strategic investment in to a Sedgefield-based flexible electronics provider.
NETPark based PragmatIC Semiconductor develops flexible integrated circuits beyond the scope of conventional electronics.
Its family of radio frequency identification and near-field communications integrated chips can be embedded into packaging to store and relay information to devices such as smartphones.
