County Durham Glamping Plans Set For Approval

Plans to create a new glamping site in a County Durham village look set to move forward.

Land to the south of West Pelton Primary School in West Pelton has been earmarked for the project. The site is to the south of the main A693 that connects Chester-le-Street to Consett via Stanley and Annfield Plain.

Under the plans, a detached two-storey dwelling would be erected alongside eight glamping pods and a new site entrance.

The site would also include a vertical axis wind turbine, play area and a protective fence.
