The chicken brand will open a new store off the A1(M) in County Durham after plans were given the go-ahead.
Colonel Sanders’ new venue will sit alongside the existing Greggs and Costa drive-thrus at the Integra 61 site at Bowburn.
The restaurant will have room for about 100 diners and offer KFC’s traditional fayre including chicken wings, tenders, sharing buckets and sandwiches.
