Avant Homes North East has snapped up a 21-acre site in County Durham, paving the way for a £43.6m housing development.
The housebuilder will commence work on the scheme, which comprises 200 homes off Ash Drive in Willington, later this month.
Named Westward Green, the project will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes – all of which will be energy efficient.
