North East law firm Swinburne Maddison has ramped up its recruitment drive on the back of an influx of new work. In 2020, Swinburne Maddison’s commercial property team advised on ten different development sites and completed more than 120 plot sales. Year-on-year fee income was up by 9.8 per cent in its latest financial year, with net profits increased by 24.6 per cent. As a result of its performance the firm has filled a number of positions and also plans to hire five additional staff in the coming months. The latest arrivals are paralegal Alisha Watson and secretary Brooke Jefferson, as well as James Curran, a newly qualified solicitor.
