A former MasterChef contestant’s fine dining restaurant is close to hitting its ultimate crowdfunding goal of £50,000.
Restaurant Jord, headed by former MasterChef contestant Mike Bartley, 37, in Bishop Auckland looks set to open next year after its Kickstarter fundraiser smashed its £35,000 goal back in September.
The venue is continuing to raise funds and is looking to hit the £50,000 mark – with any backers set to receive early bookings at the restaurant.
