A County Durham-based online fashion retailer has experienced a 113 per cent increase in revenue after pivoting its business model as a result of Covid-19.
Dressmezee, which was launched in 2015 from the bedroom of Cristal Luo, has now reached £2m in turnover and moved into a new 17,000 sq ft premises at West Chilton Industrial Estate to service its growing demand.
Across the last year the company has also added an additional 11 members of staff, including a new buyer and marketing and design team, bringing its total headcount to 24.
The brand has been supported by business advisors at Robson Laidler, having gone through a challenging time in 2020 as a result of closing party venues, restaurants and pubs.
In response to the changing climate, the team at Dressmezee pivoted the business model from luxury dresses to loungewear.
