The Better Health at Work Award recognises the efforts of employers in the North East and Cumbria in addressing health issues within the workplace.
UMi’s achievement of the Gold award demonstrates the team’s commitment to being the best example of an employee-owned business in its sector by being a workplace where talented people thrive, and by making a positive difference to the local communities in which it works.
The latest company-wide campaigns were designed to promote and support healthy eating and hydration, such as the Hydration Challenge, Fruit and Veg Challenge, celebrating a range of wellness days, and introducing a healthier tuckshop.
