Small businesses in County Durham sought for local building projects

Businesses in Durham are being given the opportunity to become part of a major regional supply chain and work on a range of building and commercial property projects in the County

Business Durham is holding a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event at Durham Town Hall on Tuesday 2 November from 9am to 5pm with the aim of providing local subcontractors and suppliers the chance to work with leading developers such as FI Real Estate Management (FIREM).

FIREM is set to embark on a major project in 2022 to redevelop a 2.58 acre site on Bracken Hill Business Park in Peterlee. Planning was granted earlier this year and when complete, Gemini Business Hub will provide nine brand new, medium-sized industrial units ranging from 5,400 sq ft to 7,400 sq ft.

The developer and asset management company is also offering supply chain opportunities related to the ongoing refurbishment and facilities management of its wider property portfolio in the area. These include Wear House, a detached two-storey, purpose-built office building on South West Industrial Estate in Peterlee plus nearby St Aiden’s House and Emerald Court, both of which are fully let.

Local businesses are invited to sign up to attend the ‘DBOP Routes to Contract Success’ Meet the Buyer event by registering their interest here. More information can be found by visiting: https://www.businessdurham.co.uk/events/dbop-routes-to-contract-success-meet-the-buyers/
