A major new coding initiative is trying to persuade young women across the North East to consider it as a career.

The Institute of Coding (IoC), in partnership with Durham University and Catch 22, has just launched the Click Start TechUPWomen programme.

The initiative delivers both 6-week and 12-week digital skills programmes for women and non-binary people aged 18-30, with a focus on helping those from low income and minority backgrounds to access jobs in the tech industry.
