It’s an area steeped in industrial history – but Katmex is very much looking to the future when it comes to its Seaham site.

The Londonderry Works on the George Street Industrial Estate have been around since Victorian times.

Standing next to the railway line, some of the sheds used to be old railway workshops – symbolic of the industrial revolution, powered by coal from the area’s mines, which transformed the world in the 19th century.

Fast forward to 2023, however, and Katmex is ensuring the works’ proud industrial legacy is assured by investing heavily in its infrastructure, machinery and people.
