The commercial director of one of the North East’s leading food processing companies has spoken about the pragmatic decisions during Covid have brought about significant growth.

Nagma Ebanks-Beni is part of the senior management team at family-owned Prima Cheese, which specialises in the shredding, blending, packing and distribution of semi-hard cheese such as mozzarella and cheddar.

She was interviewed by Insider’s regional business editor, Philip Cunliffe, in the first of a series profiling selected companies from the Owner-Managed Businesses 100 list.

The management team is now looking to introduce automation into its production processes to increase capacity and output.
