Danieli Group’s plans to expand its STACK leisure brand have taken another step forward, with its Durham site set to be backed, just weeks after its Bishop Auckland scheme was given the green light.
Last year, the leisure operator unveiled its ambition to establish two STACK sites in County Durham, creating more than 300 jobs in total.
At the end of March, plans to construct a STACK at 9-11 Newgate Street in Bishop Auckland were approved by councillors, in a move which Neill Winch, chief executive of Danieli Group, said would provide a “huge boost for the local economy”.
