Lunch and Learn: Procurement law changes in October: Are you ready?

The Procurement Bill received Royal Assent on 26 October 2023 and is now the Procurement Act 2023. The Cabinet Office has suggested a go-live date of October 2024 (with a six months notice period ahead of that date).

In this Lunch and Learn, we will be joined by Alison Walton, Partner and Head of Procurement at Muckle LLP to guide us through the changes

The changes to procurement law are seen as a benefit of Brexit by the UK Government.

The Procurement Act brings a range of benefits, including:

- creating a simpler and more flexible commercial system that better meets our country’s needs while remaining compliant with our international obligations

- opening up public procurement to new entrants such as small businesses and social enterprises so that they can compete for and win more public contracts
