Coates Butchers in Coxhoe has won a national award for its signature steak burger at this year’s Smithfield Awards, held at Butchers’ Hall in London last week.
The Coxhoe butcher, which has been a family-run business since 1965, was one of ten artisan butchers from across the UK to be named top in their category, winning the ‘Burger’ section sponsored by Dalziel.
