Cafe 1909 opens on site of former Barclays bank, Stanhope
Husband and wife duo Kieran and Michelle Hughes originally planned to renovate and lease out the Barclays building on Front Street, Stanhope when they got the keys November last year.
But, despite having no experience in hospitality, the couple decided to set up their very own venue named Cafe 1909 which opened on Monday, October 13. Since then, they have been caught up in a "whirlwind" of customers.
