Aldi to increase pay for staff in County Durham

Aldi store colleagues in County Durham will see their hourly pay rise to £13.35, with longer-serving staff earning up to £14.30 per hour, it has been announced


The increase forms part of the supermarket chain’s latest £36 million investment in pay and benefits and will take effect from Sunday 1st March.


Aldi will also raise apprentice pay to £12.02 per hour, a rate described as 'significantly higher' than the national minimum wage for first-year apprentices.
