A housing development in a County Durham village has been approved, paving the way for hundreds of new homes.
Barratt Homes North East will deliver up to 400 properties on land at Red Barns in Brandon, following approval from Durham County Council.
The first phase includes detailed consent for 140 dwellings, with a mix of two-bedroom bungalows and two to five-bedroom houses to suit a range of buyers.
The scheme will also feature affordable housing and a local centre with around 4000sq ft of retail space planned for the second phase.
