A revived Victorian walled garden at a Bishop Auckland landmark has been shortlisted for a national architecture award, it has been announced.


Auckland Castle’s Walled Garden, a Grade II-listed site in County Durham, is one of six projects in the running for the Stephen Lawrence Prize 2026, which celebrates emerging architectural talent.


The restored garden was brought back to life by MawsonKerr Architects in collaboration with landscape architect Pip Morrison.
