A County Durham housing development is delivering new affordable homes while providing hands-on training for the next generation of construction workers.

Apprentice bricklayer Dan Gamrot is building a strong foundation for his career by gaining valuable on-site experience in Murton.

The 19-year-old started his apprenticeship with believe housing, last September.

Based in the housing association’s Property Repairs Team, his role includes repointing brickwork, building garden walls, and repairing chimneys in customers’ homes.
