A Bishop Auckland coffee shop is proving a cup of coffee can help transform lives, as it celebrates a year in its community this weekend.
The Beehive Coffee Shop on Kingsway opened its doors in May 2025, and staff say just 12 months later has become far more than a place to grab lunch.
Run alongside the Angel Trust charity, the café has become one of the town’s most popular, attracting hundreds of customers a week while directly supporting local people in need.
