BMF appoints new North East chair

The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has appointed Martin Armour, commercial director at Burton Roofing Merchants Ltd, as its new regional chair for the North East of England.

The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has appointed Martin Armour, commercial director at Burton Roofing Merchants Ltd, as its new regional chair for the North East of England.


Martin brings more than 25 years of experience in the building materials sector and will represent BMF members across Yorkshire and the North East. 


In his new role, he will support initiatives including the BMF’s building materials careers programme, which promotes the sector to school leavers and ex-military personnel as part of a £51 billion national industry drive.
