A County Durham organisation set up by two sisters has been recognised in a prestigious national award ceremony for supporting the SEND community into jobs.

Bishop Auckland-based Hiyed CIC received a highly commended  award at the Autism Hero Awards  2025.

The accolade was for supporting the autism community in finding meaningful and sustainable work.
