County Durham hotel unveils new summer events 'barn marquee'

A County Durham hotel has upgraded its summer events space with a new "barn marquee".

The new structure at the Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa, near Durham, will be used for weddings and other events from May to September.

The barn marquee will be in place until early October and can accommodate 160 people sitting at round tables or 200 people at a less formal event.

The space has a canvas roof and roll-up sides that open onto landscaped gardens with festoon lighting.
