County Durham's newest salon hoping to be 'more than just a hairdressers'

A brand new hair salon hoping to become a pillar in the community has opened in a County Durham industrial park

After months in the making, The Hair Cove in Dragonville Industrial Park finally opened its doors on September 13.

Behind the new venture is Abigail Overend, who jumped straight into the industry with an apprentiship in Darlington as soon as she left school seven years ago.

But now, the 22-year-old is hoping to strike out on her own and make a name for herself and her brand and one day be "more than just a hairdressers".
