A woman inspired by her dad's diagnosis has opened a new dementia-friendly cafe in Seaham


Vicky Petre says support for her new craft cafe The Nook on West Grove in Seaham has been "phenomenal" since opening on January 2.


The 43-year-old hopes the venue can become a safe space and escape for people caring for, and those living with, dementia.
