A new tap room is bringing life back to a County Durham village that lost its last pubs.


The Durham Brewery Tap Room in Bowburn, which opened six months ago, has quickly become a central gathering place for the County Durham community.


The village had been left without a venue to meet, socialise, and enjoy a drink together following the closure of its pubs. One resident described the new venue as "the best thing that's happened here for ages."
