A hospice is set to expand support for patients and families facing the financial strain of end-of-life care, thanks to new funding from Durham Freemasons.
A grant of £36,000 has been awarded to Alice House Hospice to help ease the hidden economic pressures often experienced during terminal illness.
The funding will support the creation of a specialist role focusing on early identification of financial hardship, loss of income, and increased living costs.
