A Durham opticians has invested a six-figure sum in a store refit, welcoming customers back with a fresh look and improved services.
The store, based on North Road in the city centre, is locally owned and run by the director team which consists of Gavin Donnelly, Andrew Craig, Akib Din and Steven Hayes, and specialises in hearing care as well as eye health.
Works included a change of the store layout to ensure a fresher, sleeker look and more space for customers to peruse, as well as new illuminated frame bars for displaying glasses.
Upgrades were also made to the shop front and waiting area, as well as improved test rooms and an upgraded staff room.
Gavin Donnelly, ophthalmic director at Specsavers Durham, says: ‘We are delighted to have invested this money back into our store to optimise the experience for customers.
‘It also creates a better and brighter environment for our valued colleagues to be proud of as they continue to deliver for the community of Durham.
‘We are over the moon with our new look and hope it helps revitalise North Road – a vital artery for everyone in Durham and the the front door to our lovely city.’
