Councillor Kathryn Rooney, 53, from Consett, has confirmed the market will be coming to Middle Street in Consett on September 14, 2024.
She confirmed the date had been changed due to taking place on the same day as the Wolsingham Show.
The councillor said organisers would love to see as many local businesses taking part as possible.
She said: “The farmers’ market will now take place on Saturday, September 14 in Middle Street.
