Former Hjem chef puts twist on Sunday lunch in County Durham

The former head chef of Northumberland's first Michelin-starred restaurant is bringing a Polish twist to the traditional Sunday lunch after opening his own County Durham restaurant earlier this month.

Marek Dziedzic, who spent four years at Restaurant Hjem and played a key role in helping the restaurant retain its Michelin star, has launched a new three-course Sunday Special at Restaurant Biedronka, based at The Farmhouse, South Causey Inn.

The £50 set menu is designed as an alternative to the traditional roast dinner, with dishes inspired by the chef's Polish heritage and seasonal British ingredients.
