Green champions sought for County Durham awards

The County Durham Environment Awards 2025, led by the County Durham Partnership and Durham County Council, will celebrate the efforts of schools, businesses, volunteers,and community groups making a positive difference to nature and sustainability.

An annual awards ceremony in the North East is opening for nominations to recognise the people and organisations working to protect the environment.

The County Durham Environment Awards 2025, led by the County Durham Partnership and Durham County Council, will celebrate the efforts of schools, businesses, volunteers,and community groups making a positive difference to nature and sustainability.

Entries open on September 15 and close on October 10, with winners set to be honoured at a ceremony in Spring next year.
