A former County Durham Wilko store - which spans 20,000 sq ft - is being brought back to life by a fast-growing gym chain.

L-r: Henry Bowers, assistant surveyor at Bradley Hall, David Pearson, Paul Pearson and Callum Armstrong, senior chartered surveyor at Bradley Hall.

Middleton Enterprises-backed OneGym has taken over the store on Osborne Road, Chester-le-Street, which closed its doors for the last time on 26 September 2023 after the retailer fell into administration.

When the site opens later this year, it will be OneGym's 11th North East venue.
