Helping Young People Build Their Future Through Work Experience
Employers across County Durham are being invited to help inspire the next generation of talent by taking part in the first Whitworth Park Academy Business Breakfast, focused on creating meaningful work experience opportunities for young people.
Taking place on Wednesday 14 October from 8:30am to 10:00am at Whitworth Park Academy, the event will bring together local businesses, partners and education professionals to discuss how employers can support students as they prepare for the world of work.
Work experience plays a vital role in helping young people develop essential workplace skills, build confidence and gain valuable insight into different career paths. By working closely with schools, employers have a unique opportunity to shape future talent while helping students understand the skills and opportunities available within the local economy.
The Business Breakfast will provide a welcoming environment for networking, sharing ideas and exploring practical ways to strengthen links between education and industry. Whether your organisation already offers work experience placements or is considering getting involved for the first time, the event is an opportunity to learn more about the positive impact businesses can have on young people's futures.
