A County Durham regeneration scheme is moving forward following approval for more than 100 new affordable homes.

Durham County Council has secured planning consent for the latest phase of the Horden Masterplan, a £10.7 million project aimed at revitalising the village’s Numbered Streets.

The plans cover a 2.8-hectare site spanning Third Street, Fifth Street and the former Fourth Street, paving the way for a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses, as well as two-bedroom bungalows.
