Perched atop a hill in Annfield Plain, with views stretching across the fields to Lanchester and Consett, sits the headquarters of the Lanchester Group. You might spot the Group’s wind turbines on the horizon as you drive between Consett and Stanley.
You may be more familiar with the names of the Group’s individual businesses – Lanchester Wines, Greencroft Bottling, Spicers of Hythe, Bon Bon’s and Full Circle Brew Co. The group was originally started in the village of Lanchester, hence the name. Its owners, Tony and Veronica Cleary, started the first business, Lanchester Wines, in 1980 with Greencroft Bottling following in 2004.
