The former Lanchester Fish Bar, a staple of the village, closed in autumn 2024 after its owners retired and is now run by two brothers who have undertaken an extensive renovation of the site, including a complete rebrand.

Promising a 'new lease of life' for the shop, Rich and Aidan Weatherburn announced the changes on social media in November saying: "We’re thrilled to announce that we’re taking over the much-loved local fish and chip shop as the previous owner begins a well-earned retirement.
