Major Shake-Up at Durham’s Riverwalk as Popular Restaurant Brand Makes Bold Move

Rio Brazilian Steakhouse has confirmed plans to relocate its Durham restaurant to a new, larger unit at The Riverwalk development.
The move follows the closure of Estabulo Rodizio Bar & Grill, which had operated at the Riverwalk since September 2022. A forfeiture notice was placed on Estabulo’s premises in April 2025, and signage indicating the unit was “under offer” appeared shortly thereafter.
