The civil engineering and demolition contractor wants to knock down the 8,600 sq ft office building at its Renny’s Lane base, replacing it with a 13,400 sq ft structure.
MGL is working with planner Lichfields and In Architecture on the scheme, which will see the new building created on existing car parking space.
The site is on Renny’s Lane Industrial Estate, adjacent to the A1(M) accessed via the A690 main Durham/Sunderland Road, around two miles east of Durham city centre.
