Murtek Sponsors The Children’s Foundation at Newcastle 10K

Murtek was proud to sponsor The Children’s Foundation at the Newcastle 10K, held on Saturday 17 January, supporting the charity’s vital work with children and families across the North East.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, The Children’s Foundation has been improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people since 1990. One of its flagship projects, the Baby Box Project, provides families with essential items, books, and resources to support babies during their early development and help give every child the best possible start in life.

As part of the event, Murtek entered a team of 16 runners, who collectively raised £3,500 for the charity. The funds raised will directly support the Baby Box Project and other initiatives delivered by The Children’s Foundation to benefit mums, babies, and young children across the region.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Stuart Murray, Managing Director of Murtek, said: “We are absolutely delighted to support The Children’s Foundation and were proud to sponsor them at the Newcastle 10K. The event was extremely well organised, and it was fantastic to see our team and the wider community come together to raise funds for such an important cause.”

The Baby Box Project continues to rely on community and corporate support to help families facing challenging circumstances and to ensure children across the North east have access to the resources they need in the earliest stages of life.
