New network launched to champion County Durham and 'future'

The first Durham Champions event took place at Durham Cricket, launching a county-wide network of businesses, organisations and individuals committed to promoting County Durham as a place to live, work, invest, study and visit.

A new network is bringing people together to champion the future of County Durham.

The first Durham Champions event took place at Durham Cricket, launching a county-wide network of businesses, organisations and individuals committed to promoting County Durham as a place to live, work, invest, study and visit.

The network is part of The Durham Story, a new place brand developed to showcase the county's identity and ambitions on a global stage.

Councillor Lyndsey Fox, cabinet member for economy and partnerships at Durham County Council, said: "The purpose of the new place brand for the county is ultimately to help it prosper.
