In the first 5 months of 2024, textile recycling and fundraising company Fundraise & Recycle have fundraised over £70,000 for the schools, community centres, charities, businesses, and other organisations they work with.
The funds are passed over to the organisations for a fundraising goal they’ve set with the help of a fundraising assistant.
Through all of this, F&R has to deal with the constantly evolving and disruptive industry conditions that are affected by the war in Ukraine and logistical nightmares in the Red Sea.
However, they still see top-performing fundraisers like West View Primary School who have received over £4,400 and have used the funds for their outdoor learning environment.
Fundraise & Recycle also regularly awards organisations with Buddy Benches, Apple Trees, and visits to their HQ once certain recycling milestones have been hit.
David Kristopaitis, MD of Fundraise & Recycle, said: “We’re extremely passionate about supporting organisations to become financially self-sustainable through innovative textile recycling methods.
We know how hard it is for places like schools, community centres, or even care homes to find spare cash to visit the pantomime, decorate a classroom, or purchase equipment.
We believe the organisations we work with should not be worried about where funds are coming from, and there should be a way for them to thrive rather than survive.
And even though the market is constantly evolving and throwing up challenges, we as a company have shown we’re versatile and robust enough to get through everything”.
Alongside their fundraising, David and his team regularly organise competitions throughout the year with winners receiving exciting prizes.
There have been Ice Cream van visits, additional cash prizes, and extravagant gift hampers for the lucky winners.
A big target at the company for the rest of the year is to encourage as many businesses as possible to host a clothes bank on behalf of an organisation of their choice and support their fundraising goals.
