Seaham Hall calls on County Durham Businesses to Share in Summer Visitor Spend

Businesses across County Durham are being invited to take part in a new Summer by the Sea campaign, led by five-star coastal hotel and spa Seaham Hall, designed to encourage visitors to stay longer, explore more and spend more across the county this summer.

Seaham Hall is calling for attractions, experience providers, local venues, retailers, restaurants and other visitor-facing businesses to join its campaign throughout August and September.

With over 14,200 guests expected to visit Seaham Hall this year, participating businesses are being asked to provide guests of the hotel and lodges with an exclusive discount, added-value experience, priority access or another special benefit.

Businesses that are unable to offer a discount can also get involved through a dedicated awareness profile, placing their attraction, venue or experience directly in front of guests as they plan their visit.

Through Summer by the Sea, the hotel wants to direct more of its visitors to spend more in County Durham by giving guests more reasons to stay longer and discover more of what the region has to offer.

The local partner programme will sit alongside Seaham Hall’s ‘Stay for Three, Pay for Two’ summer offers.

Businesses taking part will be promoted to leisure guests including couples, families, solo travellers and friendship groups through campaign content, the Seaham Hall website, pre-arrival communications, social media and information shared during their stay.

Raby Castle, Park and Gardens, a popular lifestyle destination, is one of the first businesses to join the campaign and will offer Seaham Hall guests 10% off entry throughout the summer.

Dalton Park and Sunderland Empire will also be showcased through dedicated pages on the Seaham Hall website, raising awareness of their shopping, leisure and entertainment offers.

The campaign aims to position Seaham Hall as a base from which visitors can experience the wider Durham coast and county, while helping local businesses benefit from increased footfall, profile and visitor spending.
