St John's School Bishop Auckland to upgrade performing arts

A NORTH East school is to embark on a major upgrade of its performing arts facilities thanks to a “transformative” grant from an independent charity.

St John’s Catholic School and Sixth Form College, at Bishop Auckland, was awarded the £80,000 grant from the Wolfson Foundation.

It means the award-winning school can go ahead with upgrading performing arts facilities and equipment, benefiting students and the wider community.
