A firm pioneering work in tagging technology has announced plans to expand from its East of England heartland with the launch of an additional base in the North East.
PervasID, a leading innovator in RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tech, is poised to open a second base at NETPark in Sedgefield to take advantage of the skills and expertrise within the area’s growing tech cluster. The business was founded in 2011 by Dr Sabesan Sithamparanathan and a number of colleagues from Cambridge University, spinning out from the university’s engineering department after attracting attention from customers in sectors including retail, security and logistics with its cutting-edge real-time location tracking system.
